What is Happening Party People?!
Because there is no way for you to tell me what is actually happening, I'm going to pretend that nothing much is so that we don't get into a long and lengthy conversation about you when all I want to do is talk about me. Yeah, I'm cranky. The fast just ended and I broke it on gluten free dairy free chocolate covered things that tasted like styrofoam. And dinner isn't for another 8 minutes.
So lets talk about YK.
It actually took me 8 minutes to write that last sentence. Jokes it took 3. Ok so it really took 3 seconds but I couldn't wait for dinner anymore so I ran down early. And then to SuperSol. But now I'm back.
So lets talk about YK for real this time.
It was amazing. I went to three different shuls and they were each great. This was the first year I went to every service and stayed the whole time.
Lets break it down now ya'll.
Kol Nidre: I went to Raz with two friends. How can I put Raz? Happy Clappy. Thats it right there. I loved it. And the walk isn't bad either.
And after shul, all of Nativ sat in the middle of the street (because the entire country literally shuts down including the roads) and had a tish. It was amazing.
The Morning: UGHHHHHH I WOKE UP AT 5 AND WAS IN SHUL BY 6. No but it was actually really cool. Except I kept falling asleep everytime I sat down.
Naturally when I got back (after 12) it was nap time. I got a solid three hours before it was time to go daven again.
This time I went lazy. When its as hot as it is in Israel, the chance to not walk a long distance during a fast must be taken. Luckily, I have a shul literally between the new and old buildings at Nativ. To be completely honest with you, I didn't like the service. It was weird to go to a shul without a mechitzah (spelling?). I'm actually used to women not leading services and it was a shock to see a woman lead today.
But anyway, its over now. I would write about everything that happened between my last post and now, but I have two tests tomorrow. And one counts for 100 percent of my class grade. I think its time to study.
Holy Land OUT!
